need advice for terrarium

AFOAF is planning on growing Ecuador strain and bought a plastic storage container type thing that is long&wide enough for about 7 or 8 cakes, but its only 6 inches tall...he can get a different one that is a lot taller (around 16 or 18inches?) but isnt as long and wide so can fit about 4 or 5 cakes. would it be a better plan to go with the shorter but more cake room terrarium or the taller couple less cake terrarium and would the taller one humidify enough with the damn perlite technique in the PF Tek? thanks :wink:

well, he could buy another container of the same dimentions, cut out the bottom and replace with translucent plastic, then somehow fit it on top of the other one as to double the ammount of space inside the container.

smart idea maybe he'll give that a try...but if he were to use the taller one would that be alright? would it not humidify enough? if the shorter one was used would the mushrooms not fully grow? thanks for your reply :smile:

it all really depends on how many cakes your friend plans on putting together, humidity is regulated manually,

and the mushrooms still grow normally even though there is a cake on top of another? and i'd just like to say thanks again, this forum is great :laugh:
