Tall or short terrariums?
    #1301670 - 02/12/03 06:48 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions about which is better. I cant find anything in the FAQs. I prefer shorter terrariums because its easier to fan them out and they are easier to humidify with perlite. Does anyone know of any distinct advantages of using a taller terrarium ( like 12'-16' tall ) The lid on mine is only about 3-4 inches off the tops of the cakes and I don't have problems. I have a taller one too, but I'm trying to decide whether to use that, or buy another short one. Thanks
--peace--

AS tall as you plan to grow your mushrooms!!!

Taller means more air.. more air to humidity, but also more fresh air avail to mushies between fannings...

Whatever works for you!!

good luck!
