I own a Qu'ran and read it. And I UNDERSTAND the words of peace amidst the words of war.

The flag of Isis is as much a flag drenched in blood as that of the confederates, or the Nazi flag or the flag of Kenya. Or the Dutch flag, or the current American one. All flags.

One question: Peace sells, but who's buying?

I've read the quran too and it's garbage. If you have to parse out the words of peace from the words of war it's a garbage text just like the old testament.

At this point that US is already at war with them. Its giving all its got and getting nowhere. Maybe a hands off approach will work best. Give the region time to stabalize and see what happens.

No I'm pretty sure the overwhelming majority of muslims condone his actions. All muslim majority countries have illegalized homosexuality and most of them sanction gruesome death for homosexuals. I don't know what islam or muslims you're talking about but they are a small fringe.

I don't think the Muslim man with a gun could be certain that every person he tried to kill was a gay, e.g. sometimes straight couples or straight women or straight guys attempting to hit on women who let their guards down a bit in a place where it's really gay but regardless they all go to gay clubs sometimes and aren't gay, so we can rule this scenario as a hate crime immediately. 
It's substantially more likely that the man used a bidet on full blast and jerked off in the mirror a lot so he was curious and went to the gay club to test the waters, realized he really liked it, then he just hauled off and killed a group he outwardly blamed for his innermost desires--desires he loathed.  The irony is that despite being gay on the downlow, he was really a big pussy.

Maybe Donald Trump had the attack happen so he would swing more votes his way by brainwashing a Muslim closet case into thinking a crowd of gay people made him into what his belief system despises.  He's debasing the Liberal crowd one segment at a time, leaving a trail of blood all the way to the White House.

Both sides could be said to politically benefit from this, as Hillary wants any event she can use to 'cleanly' turn back from the 'progressive' charade she's put on... (who fucking believed that) - the second she had 'clinched' the nomination - I expected her to begin politically posturing right so she can justify doing more of the bullshit that really gets her and her donors off.

I'm in a gay group elswhere on the Internet and one of the members of that group IS one of the gays shot, wounded not killed, in the Orlando massacre.

I have a poker in this fire and now I AM willing to shove it up that devil's ass. Fuck.

Dude, weapons are made to be as efficient as possible, that means that in trained hands you can shoot very many, very rapidly.

An AK47, thats 3 banana magazines emptied out, with 10 wounded having been hit by bullets that already penetrated another. I shoot airsoft, I could probably shoot 100 rounds in a minute, provided I can switch magazines enough. I'm no way proficient, I'm sure Prisoner#1 could do it well under a minute. And all you need to do is pull the trigger as fast as you can in a room full of sitting ducks.

In some parallel universe not far from here I'd chop your head off with my Wakizashi you complete bastard.

I just got word that the guy I know is hurt, but not critically.

Wow, this is a synchronicity I really wish had passed me by.

You cant hit so many people with an automatic that fast unless its a belt fed weapon. at point blank range you would waste almost all your bullets hitting whomever you hit many times. The rate of fire is too high and the targets too big.

In some ways semi auto is psychologically more deadly since you tend to think about the aim of each shot more than just spraying about and end up getting more work done before reloading each time..

well to begin with many of the members in this thread are derailing the conversation and turning this tragedy into a debate about gun rights /conspiracy bs + xenophobic rhetoric. This thread literally has 15+ pages of gun debate rather than talking about the issue at hand. This is one of the worst fucking things to happen in the states and to my community.
