That's a good question, overall it's a positive return but in many cases it's negative.

But we are now talking about higher education, how many people do we need with higher education?  Not as much as most people think, it's a myth that everyone needs to go to college.

Considering high school drop out rates are abysmal, imagine how many more billions will be wasted once the federal govt gets in charge of higher education

The vast majority of Americans will save $4,000 - $5,000 per year with Bernie's healthcare plan, except the 1%.

If you say you'll come out behind, that means your employer is paying most/all of your health insurance costs.  If Bernie is elected, you can negotiate a nice raise with your employer since their costs would go down.


BS, my employer pays about half, I'm just referring to the half I pay, and taxes would be going up on my employer more than they would me, don't sound like good "raise territory"

No one is proposing to send more people to college.  Only to help those who do pay for it.

You'd get hit with a 2.2% premium on your income.  Unless you're making well over six figures, you'll come out ahead.

But it doesn't make any sense having the current percentage of people attending college.

My proposal, cut off the federal loans for students and let the colleges finance their students tuition. They will decide if their education offers a decent return on investment, if not they close up shop.

Are they aware they wouldn't even allow half or a quarter of the current percentage of students attending to be eligible for the free college?  No they aren't, they have no clue about your version of the free college and the academic discrimination is uses in the selection process.

Are you OK with hardly any blacks or Hispanics going to free college because of that policy?

Has Bernie truly spelled out how it works?  I haven't heard about the fine details and how it's limited to only a small percentage of the top students.

If the selection process for free college is based on academic accomplishments of the top students, please explain how blacks and Hispanics are going to be eligible for free college? Asians and whites will dominate the admissions process, or am I missing some other grand plan?

I have no clue what you're talking about.  Public colleges already exist, and they have physical space for a certain number of students.  This number will not suddenly be limited to only a small number - it will be the same number as it is today.

So you're now claiming that the current amount of students who attend public college will still be eligible for free college?

What do you think happens when it becomes free?  The top students all apply and it won't allow minority students that are currently attending to be there with the new policy, why is that so difficult to understand? :lol:
