Like I used to live at home with my rents. But to grow, I had to say goodbye eventually and move into a dorm for college. And I still visit, but being at home with my parents all day is a phase that you should leave behind when you turn a certain age

I hope my metaphor gets the idea across. Psyches are one part of the larger spiritual lifestyle. Using it here and there is great. But dropping acid a hundred time would not have given me the wisdom that 2 years of this "hippie lifestyle" has given


The states of high conciousness that you reach with LSD etc. are so profound and so mindblowing that I almost feel it creates problems on its own. Instead of introducing mental clarity it causes more issues and delusions due to the fact it is so hard to intergrate with waking life. Not "bad". very powerful chemicals. But not the center of a spiritual practice, ideology, lifestyle, or career

I agree with you, though I either haven't heard or have forgotten McKenna's "take psychs every day" mantra. Although I did hear him say that "the best way to smoke cannabis is once a week, in silent darkness, as much as you can smoke, of the best stuff you can find"

I still am not aware of the man espousing the abuse of psychedelics. You might find a clip or piece of material in which he recommends the experience at least once, but when did he ever say "everyone should eat lots of psychs"?

Really? I am happy I took acid. But theres a lot of people I feel regret psyches, and live a happy, spiritually "healthy" life without em. this is the first quote that I found. But generally speaking, I feel that his attitude is a little to prescriptive to say the least. Like my mom and dad are pretty mentally healthy adults that I look up to. And I really don't think they need any sort of trip
