Quick question regarding retaping the holes in the lid...

I inoculated my 6 jars today and put them in my incubator covered with a tin foil layer.  I was re-reading through one of the Teks I was following and it stated that you are to retape the holes with masking tape.  I failed to do this before putting my jars in the incubator because I was following a more updated Tek closer.  Is it okay that I didn't retape these holes??  Keep in mind I did put the tin foil back on, and also I put a lid over top of my incubation bin.  Lemme know...quickly!! :smile:

If I was you I would tape the hole with black electrical tape as soon as I squirt the spores in. Use tyvec or polyfill for gas exchange instead of taking of the tape and risking contams. You could easilly ruin your whole grow looking to shave a few days off of colonization times.

Ok..I should be fine then. I forgot to put the tape back on, but I did manage to remember to put the foil back on. I did use the PF Tek so there is a layer of Vermiculite above the substrate. There is also a lid covering the bin to keep out any other contams. Hopefully this will all work out...oh, and I sprayed lysol like a mother fucker in the room and will continue to do so throughout the process to be on the safe side.
