"A police sergeant in St.Paul, Minn, has been placed on administrative leave after he allegedly posted an inflammatory statement online, telling motorists to run over Black Lives Matter "idiots" participating in a march on Martin Luther King Jr. Day."

"Run them over...Keep traffic flowing and don't slow down for any of these idiots who try and block the road."

I tend to agree with this cop, blocking major highways is a criminal act that already puts drives lives at great risk, also what about health care emergencies that need routes to a hospital?  Why should someone wait in a traffic jam for 2 hours when they need immediate care for their serious health condition?

At the end of the day, someone is going to need to get through a road block on day and they're not going to have the patience to wait for several hours, as a result they are going to run over what stands in their way, BLM's protesters will learn a lesson the hard way.

lol so the guy got suspended from his job cause of obv stupidity but you're gonna take the time out here to support him.

if you oppose direct action say it, but this american pick and choose what's the most convenient way for everybody protesting is bullshit, what's the point if it doesn't truly interrupt?

don't build up false narratives of emergency vehicles, there are shoulders and other routes to be taken in case of life threatening emergencies other than just sitting on your ass and saying "well the road seems to be blocked"

Wow, so you support these morons standing in the middle of major highways?  How about passing out literature on the streets describing the issues of the movement?  How about doing it in places that do NOT disrupt innocent peoples lives?

Do you what happens when people who are traveling on a major highway at speeds of 80-85 mph are forced to slowdown to 0 in a matter of seconds?  Major accidents.

If I had a family member or friend that needs emergency care at the hospital, I'm getting them there regardless of who wants to stand in front of my vehicle.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

If I stand in front of a moving train, did the train operator kill me?  No, I knew the risks when I stood on the tracks. Law enforcement isn't always there to arrest people at illegal protests.

I don't think it justifies killing them, but at the same time they are jeopardizing the lives of many people by protesting in the middle of the highway.

If someone has a medical emergency and people are standing in front of their vehicle, they would be justified in going to the hospital regardless of who is intentionally trying to stop them from doing so, if that involves driving over them, so be it.

Okay, so if an old woman is crossing the street and gets stuck out there because her hip locks up, an ambulance can run her over?

Your position here is indefensible.  If protesters are breaking the law, they should be arrested and suffer whatever civil liability stems from that law breaking.  What this officer did was basically give other citizens permission to kill them.  How you can defend that is beyond me.

You missed the key part- "INTENTIONALLY trying to stop them", does a old woman locking up in the middle of the street qualify for that definition? NO.

I can relate to the police officer's position because of how the "protesters" are putting innocent drivers lives at risk for no valid reason.
