As far as verizon tells you, their the only company that matches up speed with down speed.

Also it might not have anything to do with how his house is wired, depending on how many devices are on it and what not. 144 isn't even anything to be worried about.

That 20 up speed is ridiculous though. I can't believe they have such a huge difference. Most companies offer a 50 percent up speed. Usually a 200mbs up should be 100 down.

This so much. Just get on the phone and complain about anything and don't get off until they give you a better price. Works every time. They won't hang up on you, just keep sending you up the chain till someone can give you what you want

verizon is  lying or that is not up to date information.

20 up is ridiculous, wonder if it has anything to do with anti piracy shit.. i know time warner was all for that stuff.

So the service is at a house I own, and rarely live at, most of the time its rented, and having cable and internet included is part of the deal.. I thought of having it put in one of the tenants names, but it seems too complicated since everyone is on month to month...

I have tried the call and threaten to cancel thing several times, it works, but never good enough.

i wish there was a way to set up a fake corporation or something and put it into its name.....

that would actually run the cost higher

never include utilities and luxuries as part of a deal on rental property if you
arent living there, if they want cable let them fight over who gets the bill and
who pays what share

also, complaints arent the way to go, call and ask for the customer retention
department, tell them you're finding better deals with other providers and you'd
like to maintain the service you've had for several years because you like the
reliability and you're still unsure about the others. tell them dircTV has offered
you a $39 special with several premiums for 1 year

its a weird situation where I rent the place by the room to college students, usually I cater to people looking for short term or 6 month leases who will pay a premium. I include a flat rate for all utilities in the bill. It actually brings in significantly more than the house is worth. And I have a room in the house, so when im in town, i can crash there while visiting.

The heat (which i also pay for) is the killer, some months it runs $400+, hopefully this year with lower natural gas costs, and that new fancy NEST thermostat i put in, itll be cheaper.
