how can i get my comcast bill reduced

So they have AWESOME deals for new users, but i signed up years back, and my bill is like 150 a month, where as if i was a new customer, the same service would be half that for a year.

So how can I get that discount rate?

I only pay for internet under the intro offer.  I switch accounts between my wife and I, or between other providers and Comcast.  Since I rent and move every year or two it makes it easier.

Bro my bill started at $42 w/ comcast after a year they bump me up to around $55. I called right when I got that bill asked what the deal was and they said sum bs about how I got a special rebate and now it's expire yatta yatta.

I told them that I signed a contract for 42 and if that's not the deal now then to go ahead and cancel my services cuz fuck it I can go a couple days without interwebs.

I was back at $42 in 5 mins.

So call em and say I'll go ahead and cancel they'll give u the original rate back. I feel like they're hoping they can squeeze $ out of people who won't notice/have $ to spare & don't care.

Threaten to drop their services. It'll work everytime. If it doesn't work, drop their service, go with a competitor and be sure to tell them.

I've juggled between multiple providers before.

Yup, sprint fucked me though. Put a $200 cancellation fee on my contract and would automatically renew it every year. So I try to cancel back in the day bc I want an iPhone and they hit me with that $200 bill, still puckers my asshole to this day

Cause comcast is the best.

Have u used the X1? Its like an Xbox One for cable TV. Its epic.

I pay $185 a month for HD cable, internet, and phone. Not the best deal, but still pretty good. got a second mini TV tuner in my bedroom too.

Those deals come with heavy strings. Like it only lasts 6 or 12 months, then u do full price or its a 2 year contract with heavy cancelation fees.

Comcast knows how to charge u up the ass but the TV service is epic in my opnion.

I'd argue and say verizon is the best. But I don't watch TV. I don't even have a television in my room.

I watch all my movies and TV commercial free on the Internet.

You don't sign a contract for TV\Internet do you? I don't with Time Warner. It's month to month. I can cancel at anytime and not pay a fee. If it's similar for Comcast I'd just cancel it and sign up again the following month under the new deal.

Yeah im in a contract but I have 100mb/s speed match Internet. So 100mb/s down and up.

Literally no other company offers that high of speeds for an affordable price.

Not with time Warner you don't. The fastest they have is 50mbs. It's 50/5

You won't get into the hundreds without fiber optics.

Fuck, you pay 2200 a year to Comcast and consider that a good deal?  That is crazy.  I'm sure I spend a lot on something you would think is crazy too...

I do have 200 down, just checked my plan. Although I just did a speed test and was only getting 144 so apparently I'm getting stepped on watered down interwebs.

Comcast doesn't even compare at that price.

Yeah only 20 up. I don't know if it's Fiber Optic or not. They don't offer more than 20 up as far as I can tell.

i dont think you  are getting watered down  interwebs.

it could mean that your connection isnt a home run fiber line.  if it is fiber spliced to copper you will never achieve the 200.

Get rid of cable, learn to download all the shit you want cable for. Before we finally got rid of it couldn't really imagine not having it. I mean what was I gonna have on all day for background noise? Turns out I really didn't give a shit and am not even the slightest bit bothered by not having cable. Actually, the opposite. Do you know how great it is not to see the same stupid fucking commercial 300 times in a month? Or how long it's been since I've had some retarded jingle stuck in my head? I don't have to wait through commercials for my shows anymore, either. The only thing I really lost is I usually have to wait 30 mins to an hour later than I would've had to, to watch it. Which who cares really..

Short of that, just go in to the office and talk about wanting to cancel your subscription. They'll work hard to sell you on whatever deal they got going just to keep you.
