Ford Ranger Transmission
    #22727257 -

Anyone here experienced with Ford Ranger transmissions?
I have a '99 four cylinder Ranger.
My transmission recently has started kicking hard when getting out of first gear.
The transmission was rebuilt a couple thousand miles ago, and is under warranty.

I want to take the truck in while the warranty is still good, but I'd like to speak with someone knowledgable first so I can make sure the transmission shop doesn't pull one over on me.

kicking out of first gear on a rebuild could mean the fluid is low, or something faulty in the valve body.  Sometimes people will put a tougher spring in the valve body to give it more of a kick, but not really common with a street vehicle.

if it is under warranty take that shit back.

It's not like I take much pride in the truck, it just serves a purpose.

Also, they might tell you its fine and that it will still run fine... This can be true & it may run for months with no issues except for the kicking before it fails.

This is what I am worried they will say.
