That's not a good place to be leaking. Sounds like it could be a freeze out plug.

freeze plug, head gasket or a crack. get a mirror and flash light to see if you can tell where it's coming from and can see the problem

Yea. Either way, coming from the back of the engine is the worst place to have a coolant leak. While I'm a ford truck guy, admittedly, the biggest issue with them is overheating. OP, if you can find the leak, we can help you fix it. Probably going to be a big job though

all the mazda made transmissions are junk including the F series. my f-250 is in the trans shop after 6 months on a rebuilt. the old FMX and c6 transmissions were indestructible

Sounds like a classic case of radiator overheating causing the water pump tubes to go into overdrive pushing extreme loads of psi through the transmission and I have no fucking idea what I'm talking about

I havnt tried yet, but i did get this pic. Seems to be the source of my leak.

Im not sure if it's a hose or the T...
Im also a bit confused... If it is a cracked T or a loose how, why did it look like someone dumped a bucket of coolant over my engine?
Another thing, when i was changing out my tranny fluid i noticed the coolant was dripping. It was close to something like 1 drip every 10-15 secs. The following morning is when my truck puked.

Is the T easy to switch out? Im going to try and remove it tomorrow morning and take it to few auto part stores so i can try and find the right size.
Also, i accidentally grabbed this coolant in a hurry...

Can i use it?

Yea. It's all easy to switch out. Get a picture of the entire engine and one close up of the "t" so we can identify it for you. Cause those fat black bitches at the parts store won't know. On the antifreeze, it looks like it will work. But I would take it back and get something made for gas engines. It will be cheaper. And if you don't get it premixed, be sure to mix it 50t50 with water

that is false. people will do that if they are unsure of the repair. dont do this. vehicles need the 50/50 mix
also, i have never used that coolant you bought and would suggest taking it back and getting the regular coolant. or the mixes with anything coolant.
while you are at the parts store, get some new hose clamps as well.

so i found the T thats needed, it is not brass. i will have to order it online. the hard plastic will be a temp fix.
however, while disconnecting the old T 2 other hoses disconnected.
i have 2 small thin hoses disconnected and 1 large hose disconnected.
one of the small hoses connects to the top of the T, but im unsure of the others.
i have pics. ill load them now.

typically the hoses will only reach the place they'll connect. hook them to the port at the end of the range of motion and if it's wrong (runs dramatically different) then switch them

its the larger hose i seem to be having issues with. i cant find where it connects. it comes from the top rear middle of the block.
the 2 smaller ones are pretty much the same length. one to the T and the other goes above the T but connects to the block.

the top pic had a hose, a small hose, connected using a clamp.
the 2nd pic shows both small hoses.
the 3rd is a pic of the larger hose coming from the top of the block and connects somewhere underneath.

This.
Also, some of them may just be ventilation lines for the tranny

First pic is for pvc valve. Goes to top of valve cover. Second pic is either a vent or a vacuum line. With it running, is the line pulling a vacuum?

you gotta trace those 2 smaller lines back and see their origin.
running the vehicle and putting your thumb on them is also a good idea. if it is pulling vacuum they need to be connected to something.
the valve cover should be easy to spot, its underneath the plenum. you can see it without removing anything.

Stop being a dumbass. Here, let a girl show you:
Look for your master cylinder and reservoir (where your brake fluid goes). To the left of that. And buy the damn manual. If you're driving around in a 13 year old ranger, your going to want to know how to fix it. Chilton manual is superior, but often in parts stores only the Haynes is available.
