Masked, who are you to judge them? For plenty of people, due to personal reasons, stocking up a supermarket or cooking fast food is the extent to which they han work.

They may be traumatized, have disabilities, vexing situations in their life or they might simply have a below average intelligence and require clear and dependable circumstances.

I rarely eat fast food but if I go for a burger I want it to be made well by someone who likes their job and is motivated to be good at it. I also like that person to make a decent wage, so I know they can support their households well. Is that too european of me?

Much too European. Here in Amurika we like our fast food to be made by people who hate their job.

Asante, who am I to judge?  I'm human. We judge.

I like the cat that doesn't piss on my floor vs the cat that does

Just like I think more highly of a young man who went through shit jobs with a smile on his face, worked his ass until he thought he was close to death by exhaustion...and climbed the mother fucking mountain himself, with a backbone and determination to get what he wanted.  You appreciate the view from the top a lot more after you have been through the valleys

These punks just want to be spoon fed.  Still partially attached to mommy's boob in the metaphorical sense

Facts are not attitudes.

Dismissively calling people who for whatever reason have to rely on minimum wage "total losers" has nothing to do with facts and everything with being judgemental. Its a kick in the nuts for people, no doubt more than a few members are in this category, who are down on their luck for whatever reason.

If someone fails to thrive in their career it doesnt mean they are inferior as human beings or that their work contribution is irrelevant. If everybody on minimum wage would stop working at once it would be a crisis, society depends on this underpaid segment of the workforce.

And yes I say underpaid because whatever a person does in a country with a living standard like the USA, even if its the stereotypical fast food job - is WORTH MORE THAN $9 AN HOUR.

@ people being good and motivated to make your fast food hamburger.

Your patty has probably a 20% chance of having hit the floor, condiments and vegetables have been walked on all day by flies and held at unsafe temps bun toasted in a machine that's at least 20 years old and has more gunk and grime than a 20 year old car in it and the person who put it all together has been picking trash up off the floor, scratching his ass, wiping the sweat off his face never once washing his hands and to top it all off, does not give one shit about your burger.

No one is sitting back there enthusiastically making burgers.

luvdemboomers I do think those types of positions are underpaid. Though I don't think the government should step in and make employers pay more.

When a corporation makes and rapes as much as McDonald's or taco bell, why shouldn't the employees get a fair piece of the pie? There's millions and millions of dollars to spare at the top. It's because some people (the rich especially) think they've outsmarted life and they deserve more and are entitled to more. The poor people think they're entitled to more than debt and Medicaid
