No I think most animals breed in the Spring or have some other environmental trigger but usually once year is all. But yes enough animals do breed year round to say that we are not unique.

I saw this idea on a human sexuality show on the Discovery channel. Imagine if we put out babies like rabbits. Soon the tribe would be larger than the food supply. Eventually the food supply would dwindle and people would die off and then the food supply would grow back and so on and so on. that does not seem efficient so how do you control the population of a highly advanced animal? With scare tactics of course, whether it be religion, family or tradition we are all told of the unspeakables that will happen if we ignore the golden rules.

No kidding. Who were all those people writing on the first page and where did they all go?
Is turnover really that high on this site that in a couple months it's entirely new sets of
people posting?

As for sexual taboos... Well, I think that the fellow at the start who was saying that the
only universal taboo is that there be some mesure of taboo had it down. Like PhreakyZen was
saying, maybe taboos are universal because they were needed to control population growth, and
now that we have contraceptives taboos are outdated and useless and we can have as much sex
as we like. Hurray!

Actually, almost all of them are still around. The only one I haven't seen around would be this "phreakyzen", and maybe "upand up". :grin:
