Bassfreak, I found the below vid today.  This pretty much illustrates why I can't do the festival scene.  Watch this video and tell me that the majority of the crowd cares about the music, that promoters book acts that care about the music.  Tell me with a straight bass face.

I listened to a set by RL Grime today, it was pretty good.  If I was going out to see pop music bass music, that's probably who I'd go see.

when trap was at its peak RL Grime was king, his sets were so much fuckin fun


hes not as good as he was but its still a really solid show, his trap is more like hip hop vibes, last time i saw him it was almost just a rap show lol

i saw a Awesome Jurrasic 5 show last year, epic scratching. A whole long song of scratching.

Definitely uncommon, but its out there.

I wish more Djs were turntablists.....

i haven't really kept up with turntablism, but i was fanatical about it in the 90's. if anyone has any names or links to some new'ish guys who have mixes up i can download i would love that. and i wouldn't say dj'ing is a "lost art" by any means. it's certainly different now; techniques have been refined and technology has permanently altered its course, for the better i would argue. but dj'ing is more popular than ever.
