Straight coir seems disappointing...

Well, I tried two casings using straight coir and they started out colonizing well. Mycelium was popping up in a couple places on each of the casings, but for the past week, nothing has been going on. I've had success with 60/40 many times, but the straight coir is disappointing. What do you guys think the problems can be? Maybe too wet? I used WBS and the temps aren't ideal because of the cold weather, usually about 78 degrees. Any suggestions?

i would say it might be too wet or too thick, atleast the mix would be lighter with the 60/40 and it'd be easier to colonize. I'd up the temp a few degrees too. It might still be goin under there but waiting to see is the toughest part.

Thanks. I do believe it is too wet. I know it's not too thick.
