No they are black tail. Mulees are a type of black tail. White tails live in large herds. Your ignorance is annoying. Just walk away before I have you neutered.

white tails don't live in large herds you moron. before you talk about someone's ignorance you should know what your talking about.  I eat sleep and live hunting white tail deer.  I have maybe a few times seen a mother and a few fawns together but never a herd.  lol at you bro.  I'm not saying they don't herd up in other parts of the country that I don't know.  But in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and Georgia they don't herd up.  I have been all over the country hunting deer, elk, and mules and have never seen white tails herd.  Elk and mules on the other hand are in giant herds.  You have lost all credibility.

If you say some shit like I don't know what I'm talking about I'll show you a trophy room of white tails at our OWN hunting lodge that WE have killed ourselves more impressive than anything you've seen in any hunting magazine.  I know white tail deer.  You apparently don't.

White tails herd. I just saw a few herds yesterday here in southwest Ohio. They like groups of 5 to 6 of the same gender it seems. (Does with does, bucks with bucks)

They don't herd when they're looking for a mate, and that's about the only time they really travel very far.

he said large herds....i don't consider seeing 5-6 deer a large herd...or even a herd.  If anyone here thinks 5-6 deer together is a herd you really don't know herds.  I would call that a small group.  When you see them 5-6 deer about 90% of the time your seeing a mother and a few years of her offspring.  These small groups are almost never of different blood lines. Not a herd.  Also you might see, right before the rut, a few "roving" males together, also not a herd.

you stupid fuck, no they don't.  Our hunting lodge is in Kentucky.  Out of all the states I have hunted in I have hunted in Kentucky about 90% of time.  For the record I lived in Northern Kentucky, which isn't the mountains you tree hugger.

Even if you don't like it, just 2 whitetail deer together is in fact a herd.

In Northern Illinois I see 20 to 50 deer running like hell when I ride my bicycle down the gravel road at the conservation area at dusk. They think I'm chasing them. During the daytime I only see individuals or small groups.

    This is an unnatural situation but I once saw 500+ deer. I was driving by a reservoir for a nuclear plant in central Illinois in the winter. There was a canal that moved the heated water to the cooling lake. The deer just stood there in the steam enjoying the warm air.

I've seen upwards of 40-50 together out here in West Central Minnesota (Todd County). I've seen a few other groups of 20+ but it's not something you see every day. Maybe once per year I'll see a large group of them. The 40+ outnumbered the cattle in the pasture they were running through. It was very beautiful to see.

The last large group I saw were a mixed bag of age and sex, but they were fleeing wildfires so I doubt that "counts". :lol:

When I saw them yesterday there were about 20, all does. Right at sunset.

But I typically never see more than 10.

Doesn't fucking matter how many there is, it's still a herd whether he likes it or not.
