"behind the music" of the Dead?

how come there has never been any specials on VH1 or MTV about the life of the Grateful Dead? theyve documented most bands from that era, why not the dead? if there has been one, please point me in the right direction..

You're right they never did. I guess they aren't mainstream enough or something. They never get the credit they deserve. On that new Rolling Stones on the top 500 albums of all time, there is no Grateful Dead album on the list, or so I'm told.

They shouldn't have a "Behind the Music." They should be on "Legends." Hell, they did one of those for Kiss, and they suck.

Oh yeah they did do a Legends on them. I kinda remember seeing it now that I think of it.

wow.. i must have missed it. i thought i had seen almost all of those specials. i usually watch them no matter what band they are documenting. i just like to see how bands started out and rise to fame. the dead would be a very interesting show :grin:

if they did it right. from the warlocks, acid tests, trips festivals to the 90's when the candle finally burned out

I love that show. Did you see the one where they brew beer inside of Bender and then when the beers ready to come out it's like Bender is pregnant? That was so funny. Bender is a great character. He's an instant classic IMO.
