It its a shaving CREAM then wet your face and the razor and brush with hot water, then take a bit of the cream on your finger and rub it over your cheeks, then whip it up with the (badger hair!) brush to a thick rich lather.

I just looked at the container it's shaving soap
it says to apply with a brush
but I don't think I could get a glob on my finger

Oh wow! I was thinking somewhere along the lines of 50 bucks for a good kit that includes the brush and cream. No way I'd invest in that at 200.

I'll stick to my dollar shave club razors. I get awesome razors (better than any other disposables I've tried before) for a dollar each every month with free shipping.

straight razors can go for that much but if you take care of it, it will last for generations

safety razors would probably fall into your price range

I've only experienced a proper old school shave with a brush and straighblade the couple times I've been to a barber in the past decade. They were the best shaves ever.

If I wasn't so lazy about shaving my beard, I'd go all out on an expensive shaving kit.

I feel the same way!  Having a barber trim and shape your beard is the freshest feeling around.  You walk out feeling like a whole new man.

If you want brand names as a reccomendation, for a razor get a Merkur 34C razor and charge it with Derby Extra razor blades.

This is the most recommended Razor/blade combination and is quite affordable. As you see, the razor (easily lasts a decade) and 100 blades (easily lasts a few years) for less than $50, combined.

A HIGH QUALITY AFFORDABLE shaving cream is PRORASO Shaving Cream.

A HIGH QUALITY HIGH END shaving cream is Taylor of Old Bond Street Shaving Cream

You decide, the second is pure decadence so why not PRORASO?

Then a Badger Hair Shaving Brush

and for $70 you are all set, you got barber quality gear that will last you years and good cream to go with it.

Now it comes to technique.

Maybe because Asante is an Admin, and none of his links compete with any shroommery sponsors like a ecig site would.

Settle down now.
