I let it grow wild now, just cause I don't really care, but I would recommend trimming over shaving if you have any issue w/ your pubes.

:grin: that would have some merrits of its own, in that it would be funny to watch peoples expressions when they saw you, but I would stick with trimming if you want to avoid itch. I guess clean shaves dont itch if u keep it shaved all the time, but who want to shave there nuts every day. if you just trim it you can leave it for at least a week or two. way less maintenence if you just trim it.

at times yeah theres a lil razor burn but what i do is trim it like us a buzzer with no gaurd on it then shave it with the razor going with the hair griain not against it and right after i'm done i throw alot of baby powder on there and i'm pretty much good till it starts to grow back then you do it all over again

to be hounest i'm the wrong person to ask cuz my facial hair grows like abnormaly fast like i have to shave my face every day or it will be prickely as hell but my pubes i probably shave once ever 2 or 3 months so i guess the answer would be no they dont grow as fast as your facial hair

It pretty much comes down to a 1-2 day stubble. But it's flat, so it feels smooth unless you rub it. (heh)

Anyway, my gf prefers it that way. If you're around chicks, i suggest you do it. If you MAY be around chicks, at least trim, thats for sure.

benefits:

i use my electric shaver's beard trimmer

so i don't get the itching nor the burns from the traditional razor

dude - as a chick - dont shave yourself clean - that shit is riduculous - you look 12 and that is not sexy.
A trim is nice - it looks neater, and you still look like an adult.

If you are asking about nair (I would go with no) You can put nair on very sensitive parts - BUT it can burn you if you have sensitive skin - a cut or rash there will be unbearable.

The grow back with nair is iffy - I have had differing results - Ingrown hairs down near your nethers sounds awful.

So the trims is the safest way to go.

I've used nair and a trim before. The nair worked pretty well. I would use it again. The lady i was with at the time really liked the area hairless and so did I. Shit, maybe that's what i can do this afternoon. :S

I keep my junk shaved (cock and balls), leaving a little on top to keep from looking like a 12 year old.

I shave about once a week and there is no real issue with itching anymore. It will itch the first few times you shave down there, but once you make a habit of it, the itching goes away.

Dude Nair on the balls is a bad idea. I've tried Epil-Stop Plus, which is the exact same thing as Nair, maybe a different formulatiuon. It KINDA worked up top, but burned like a mother fucker. Those products have never worked for hair removal for me, just giving me chemical burns.

They're both chemical depilatories. Basically they use a very basic substance (Calcium or Sodium hydroxide) to more or less dissolve the hair. Ever had a burn from a very strong base? It hurts like hell. Don't do it. Did you know that drain cleaners also use sodium hydroxide? Drain cleaner on the balls. Sounds like a party to me. :thumbdown:

Shaving is the way to go.

For the balls, wait until they are warm and in "dangle mode." Take a hot shower or bath or put a warm wash rag on them or something. Must be dangling completely. If you try to shave your balls when they are all cold and scrunched up, you will get a shitty shave and probably cut yourself. Seeing your balls bleed is a little startling. Use a razor with at least 3 blades (I use a 5 blade Gillette Fusion). I've tried 1 and 2 blade razors... Usually ends up with cuts. Not fun. It's all a matter of creating flat surfaces. Stretch the scrote out and shave where the skin is taught. You'll figure it out. Don't use any pressure on the razor and razor burn can be avoided.

As far as shaving up top goes, yeah it's very easy to get razor burn, especially the first few times. Trim the hair down as short as possible with an electric trimmer (go with the grain, you might get cut otherwise). Put shaving cream on and let it sit for a bit to soften up the hairs. I'd shave up top with a 1 or 2 blade razor because they don't cut the hair as deep and you are less likely to get razor burn. Shave with the grain and don't use any pressure on the razor blade. Be particularly gentle when you shave at the base of the penis, that gets itchy if you use too much pressure on the razor.  As far as the shaft goes, again, with the grain, no pressure. Be careful there man. Cut on the dick is scary as hell.

If you have an after shave balm, use that afterwards, it'll help with the razor burn. If it's alcohol based it's gonna burn like hell. If it's one of those cooling balms... Don't put it on the balls... That just hurts like hell.

Why you shouldn't use Nair on skin as sensitive as the scrotum will be self-explanatory within about 20-30 seconds of applying it. Burns like a motherfucker and can leave the skin irritated for days. Feels somewhat like taking an eraser or sandpaper to your balls for a few seconds.

Go for the trim up top and the shave below. Thats what I do. I also shave the base/shaft of the pen0r... deep throat, FTW!

Yep, we like it. :smile: Of course you have to either keep it clean shaven and stubble free (nobody likes that velcro effect) or just keep it trimmed very close.  If it looks like a jungle down there I for one am not willing to wade through it to get to the goods, total turn off. Plus, it's just cleaner. :smile:

I agree! I've done it too and unless you shave everyday you're gonna have issues. Either ya itch or you get that velcro effect with your drawers sticking to ya when the stubble is growing out which isn't exactly comfy. LOL

idk guys, ive tried to shave/trim n all that but my girl actually doesnt like it. She thinks guys should be hairy....this coming from a girl who shaves and trims herself.
