best place to vacation to for hunting?

This christmas instead of presents me & my parents are taking a vacation, the two main choices are hawaii or mexico but any sunny vacation place is pretty much open for me to suggest.

So - I've decided to take this opportunity to hunt for mushrooms in a new area, which place do you think I should choose for the best results?

Depends on where in Mexico, and which Island in Hawaii I guess.

Hawaii will have plenty of Copelandia cyanescens. I wouldn't recommed you going there and looking for mushrooms. A haole tourist like you would get shot going into a private cow pasture.

I used to live in Hawaii, and if you know people, you're okay. But like I said, if your a tourist, you'll just get shit.

If you're willing to risk it though, you could look for some cow pastures in the country sides, if your in Oahu, (I dont know that issland very much), you will need to get away from town and go inland.

Angry Shroom, The shrooms on oahu are not inland, they are all along coastal areas, except in Kailua. The north shore area is great and so is Kualoa Ranch. Their season is now till February. No need for Mexico since their season is june through September so there are no more.

okay I've decided on Hawaii but I have another question for you John (guess you can't anticipate them all lol)

Which island do you think would bring me better success, Oahu, or Maui? And I've read up on all the different kinds of mushrooms there now, but which one do you think is the most common?

Copelandia cyanescens are the most common.

As for them growing near the coastline, Im sure they do, and Im sure they grow inland as well, because thats where I found them on the Big Island.

I'd still take my word about being careful. Hawaii is a different place than most people think. Its a paradise, but, the local people on the land aren't too fond of tourists and white americans.

My friend who recently visited Hawaii during the summer said he went on a hike in some mountains and stumbled upon some hippies who were moving their hands in cow shit and my friend was like "Why the fuck are you doing that?" and they moved their hands to reveal a whole shit load of shrooms and they replied "Were harvesting magical mushrooms.. Aren't they beautful?".. Then, my friend said they bended the shrooms and they were the bluest shrooms he has ever seen in his life.. So to answer your question, GO TO HAWAII

Ive picked at aPArker Ranch on the big island and in Pahoa and in Hilo and Kona.

On Oahu the pasturelands are arounf the outer side close tot he ocean.

On Maui they are yup Kula Highway on haleakala and up in Pukalani and Makawao and in Paia and hana. and wet of Wailuku. You can read of them in my article Mushrooms in paradise: Hawaiian Style posted here int he General information of shroom hunting form the opeing page of this sight.

I've heard good things about Puerto Rico

They have cubes and copelandia's, and i guess they don't fence in any of their cattle.

And the farmers are chill. So i've heard.
