Physically Uncomfortable Body Hair!?

My body hair is very uncomfortable and painful at times. It can also be very oversensitive. Wtf is with this? Im seriously considering getting it all lasered off.

Ive scoured the internet, but i cant find anyone with similar problems.

Could this all be in my mind? because i am extremely mentally uncomfortable with it too.

How old are you? Is it a specific area or total body? Constant or just at times?

The occasional pain and discomfort from a patch of hair in people under 30 can be normal i'd say.  Could well just be hair follicles breaking the skin or getting a bit ingrown.

Are you getting any other symptons in the area such as a red spot or anything? I occasionally get small spots on my leg that when squeezed a hair will emerge. Barely noticeable really though in terms of size and discomfort.

My chest can be bad for developing phantom irritations though. I'm mid 20's though and hair is still sprouting all over the place.

(PS it's considered poor form to bump your own threads within 24hrs.)

i wasnt trying to bump it to the top, i just wanted to respond to myself for closure. Im 18, its all over my legs

:lol: You're just gonna have to get used to it. People have hair all over their body, and yes it can be uncomfortable, especially for guys because it tends to grow thicker and in more areas. You aren't done growing and neither is your hair. There's not really anything you can do about it. Shaving it would probably make you look like a weirdo, and feel much more irritating. Laser hair removal is usually only done in small areas and is very expensive, so that's not really an option either.

Also, it may just be that you have sensitive skin? Try using hypoallergenic body washes and lotions without any fragrances.

Yes sir you do. Be thankful you didn't have growing pains. They are a real physical pain. When my hips started growing wider and my breasts started coming in, it felt my skin was tearing and my bones were being crushed. That's when I first started my period, and that's a whole other thing that I won't get into detail with.

You'll get used to it. Same as shaving your face if you don't already do that. When I first started shaving my lady region I was like 'why am I doing this! Its so uncomfortable!'Then I just got used to it.

Edit: I realized I told you to get used to it way too many times :rofl:. I probably sound old.

Guys who are swimmers shave their legs so they can swim faster, maybe you could do that?

Try using conditioner on your leg hair. It softens the hair and might reduce the irritation caused by the hair thats already came through.(It's handy if you've to shave your beard too, soften the hair up a bit and it's easier to go through.)

It might be folliculitis or something close to it. Check the link out to see if it's sounding like your issue. Hair follicles could be getting infected due to ingrown hair in which case focusing more on hygeine and maybe an antibiotic cream or something could be needed.

Maybe not shave your legs but, cut the really thick parts off with a pair of scissors.
