Personally im sick of having to deal with imperial screws and constantly having two have two sets of tools and buying extra shit just because americans failed to update. Now I understand that it wouldnt be an easy task but would it ever happen or are you going to use the old antique, difficult, stupid system for the next century or forever? Seems silly to live in such a modern world with such as silly measuring system.

They already tried that didn't last more than a few years in the 1970s

i'm canadian and I mostly don't use metric... I mean I use celcius over farenheit damn straight but inches are so much better than centimeters for most things... and feet. Like who says 'oh I'm 183 centimeters tall' fuck that. I'm 6'.

Yeah metric is better for calculations, but feet and inches are conveniently sized for casual measurements. At a certain point they were pushing metric versions of feet and inches that were exactly 30 cm and 2.5 cm, but it never took off.

You would've gotten to the moon ten years earlier with the metric system.

Who was the first to get a human in orbit again? Of course the moon thing is the milestone to give a shit about though, it's such a useful thing that still happens all the time.

The Russians lost way more people than we did due to inferior equipment and methods. Who cares that they got a satellite and man up in orbit that's nothing.

Yeah that's nothing, it's not like people rely on the ability to have technology orbiting the earth on a daily basis. But the moon on the other hand, just think of the sweet setup you guys have over there and all the riches you've brought back.
