why doesnt murica use metric

Personally im sick of having to deal with imperial screws and constantly having two have two sets of tools and buying extra shit just because americans failed to update. Now I understand that it wouldnt be an easy task but would it ever happen or are you going to use the old antique, difficult, stupid system for the next century or forever? Seems silly to live in such a modern world with such as silly measuring system.

I personally have all my devices set to metric. I've found once you use it regularly it becomes second nature.
