I think they should change it to "Jerry Garcia Band: The Shroomery Picks Vol. 1" so they can have a volume for The Dead and JGB.

what do you guys say!
Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!! That show was beautiful. A little history on that show. The year before that show a bunch of familly got busted with a large amount needlepoint LSD in Oregon. They were all sentanced to Oregon St. prison . Thats why Jerry played that prison and that show.
This CD should have a sweet version of Second That Emotion.IMO The Keystone encore version is pretty good. My heart swells up like a baloon hearing Jerry sing "If you feel like loving me and you got that notion ,I second that emotion"

Ripple, great idea. I have a few suggestions. I have a sweet sounding soundboard recording of 08/27/87 - French's Camp On The Eel River Piercy, CA. The sound quality is A+. Here are my favs from the show that you might consider for one of the tracks:
And it Stoned Me That Lucky Old Sun Tangled Up in Blue
I have another show from 4/27/94 Warfield Theatre San Francisco, CA. I think at least one track should be from the 90s. This is a fabulous show. My favs are:
Simple Twist Of Fate Shining Star Midnight Moonlight
Oh, one more thing. I really love the song (I'm A) Road Runner. I have a sweet version from La Paloma Theater Encinitas, CA 2/21/76. I love the lyrics:
"You know I love the life I live I want to live the life I love"
I know that's a lot of suggestions but you should tell me what you think.

There's gotta be a Mission in the Rain on it. I don't have any really great quality (sound-wise, not performance-wise) versions, but I'm sure someone else can suggest one.

Ripple I'll send you a copy! In fact, I'll send you a CD with a few of the JGB songs that I mentioned in my previous post and you can decide if any of them should end up on the final CD. How does that sound?

a couple years back, a disk made the rounds that was a complilation of live garcia and grisman with some of grsman's sidemen. my copy says "5/7-11/92, san francisco, ca." anyways, it's amazing acoustic stuff, ESPECIALLY the sittin in limbo. that's my recommendation.
i never saw a jerry band show. my one and only regret...

And of course the one and only John Kahn on Bass, I believe that Ron Tutt is on Drums although I'm not quite sure.
Nicky Hopkins died about 6 yrs back and i am impressed that you knew he was a keyboard player with the dead. He did most of the keyboard work with the Stones on the Goats Head Soup recordings back in 1974

Chinacat, that was AWESOME that Jerry played that Oregon Prison for that reason. That's really cool. Do you have any idea of those people are free now?

this is a little off topic, but me and my friend use to listen to this awesome grateful dead acoustic tape. unfourtunately he died and i never found out the name of the tape and havent been able to locate any more acoustic dead cd's or tapes. so chinacat or anyone who has some names of acoustic dead complilations, lay them on me
ps- JGB volume 2 already sounds awesome to me

I have an acoustic grateful dead cd, it's a dicks picks (I think volume 8) so it's not obscure. it has i know you rider, dire wolf, candyman, a few others. If that sounds like it might be it then it should be pretty easy to get a hold of.
