Pine bonsai with companion mushrooms
    #20217054 -

I noticed these have been popping every summer for the last few years, I have no idea what they are though.
I started on this tree around 2000. The pic doesn't do the tree justice.

Do you have them narrowed to a genus? What's the spore color?

Thanks dudes!
Maynard, you have a similar lifestyle as I do with kids and a wife. You would enjoy the art of bonsai quite a bit I would think!

Thanks sum0! I love that lichen too, I hope its not slowly killing it though. Not sure if its parasitic or if it just lives of the small amounts of dead bark.

The lichen is a Cladonia species and its just living on top of the bark, it won't hurt the tree.

I don't mind being ogled, ridiculed, made to feel minuscule.
If you consider the source, it's kinda pitiful
The only thing you really know about me is.....That's all you'll ever know!!!!

Are those really big shrooms or is that a really small bonsai?:igor:

They remond me of Inocybe. Are the caps fibrous?

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Beautiful tree symon. I have always wanted to try bonsai but now I would be disappointed with any less than a symbiote bonsai. thank you for sharing, very cool.

Thanks a lot art! I swear these pics don't do it justice, this is meant to showcase the mushrooms. The foliage pads actually face a little to the right , I potted it wrong this time. I will get a shot from the side it should show nicer.

I wouldn't note the pileus as fibrous , but I could see Inocybe. I am printing it now for color, the spores were pretty weird looking, like spiked balls. I still blow in the scope though and haven't fucking improved or got any new shit to help me improve. Too many things on my plate.

Don't wait do it now!!! I am so glad I actually started this 15 years ago when I was 20.if you smoke weed it's right up your alley. You get a potensai( potential bonsai) then sit there for however long and however many doobs it takes to see the tree. Then you bring it out to life through pruning and training , wiring or like I did with this long needles pine, I bud pinched which you do once a decade to get small needles!

Don't sweat it man, I've killed way too any rad trees to count over the years. In my mid 20's I had to work away from home and my wife couldn't handle my huge tree collection. So I lost most of my good ones then. :frown:

So the spore color is orangish brown.
So it's maybe a Conocybes or even a Galerina maybe? I guess even Inocybe but it really doesn't look like any I have seen.

Haha, I'm with you, that could be anything! I see a resemblance to hebeloma mesophaeum and inocybe, maybe I. godeyi.
