Glove Box question

Ok, I want to make a glove box. I have all of the material needed. But now that I am ready, an OBVIOUS question has arisen. I have seen no posts, FAQ's, or anything else discussing this:

Won't the alcohol flame melt my glovebox????  Even if the flame doesn't, wouldn't exposure to heat fuck it up? It's not like shit gets red hot and sterile in nanoseconds. Now I am thinking it is going to need some other improvement, but I don't think 'putting something on the lid of the box' is gonna help, as I was told.

Please help.

Make the glove box out of steel and a temperd glass top and your set.

Just fucking around. The night before I use my glove box I blast it with alch. Now I have a hepa box with a fish tank pump in it hooked to the glove box. The box has little holes with poly fill jamed in them. When I turn on the pump it blows a mild stream of clean air so the box is slightly pressurized and nothing can blow into it. Blows out the air with alch so when I use the lighter I don?t blow up. (not good so I hear)

My way of being lazy and not building a flow hood. Worked great so far.

So since you are pumping filtered air into the box, in a flipped kind of a way, you made a flow hood/glove box. Like a median between the two. If you dont want to take the time to build a flow hood and want something similar to what a flow hood does, build the FLOW BOX.

spinners....if you try using a flame inside an alcohol treated GB it will explode....just wipe your needle down with alc each time you wish to sterilse.

or place a piece of alc soaked sponge over the needle,this will wipe the needle automatically each time you push the needle into a jar.

wouldnt the alcohol have to be wet in order to ignite? how would a GB explode if it was wiped with alcohol with an air pump attached to it? I think the is a slim to no chance of it exploding even without the pumpin hooked up to it. Also, what did I say to get this post directed to me?

my point was that if you introduce a flame into a glove box filled with alc fumes it will go BANG,belive me i know someone who had this happen to them.

I want to use a spoon to do my g2g transfers. Im loading the box with alcohol so i cant use a flame to sterilize. What if I pressure cooked a spoon in a canning jar and only opened it once it was inside the glovebox? Wouldnt it be steril? I could then dip it in a cup of alcohol and let it dry to be extra steril. What do you think?
