Pure Peat Casing

ok, i have my jars ready (rye , Cc, millet) and i only have straw/horse shit
and tons on verm and perlite and peat moss , an dreally i woundt like to go through the shit pasteurising agian , so i wanna case with the peat moss and verm , but every one says that it must be with coco coir and lime , but the problem is that here no one sells coco coir nor lime so im stuck to these products only , would it be posible to case the colonised rye with peat/verm only ? with out damaging the mycelial growth because of the acidic substrate ?

Casing with just peat and verm most likely won't work. Due to the acidity of the casing substrate, the mycelium won't be able to penetrate the casing layer and fruit.

they sell this stuff in my area that is peat/verm and perlite(small about of verm and perlite tho) with the ph already adjusted....not sure if you'd have that there tho

Peat is a bit too acidic as koraks says. You could case with just verm, but you are going to have to be careful with the watering, pure verm will not hold as much water as coco/verm or peat/verm.
I take it where you live the soil must be quite alkaline, have you looked for an PH+ products, eg calcium carbonate? (you could use crushed egg shells)

Just follow the 50/50 tek and you'll be fine.  50% verm. 50% peat moss.  If you can get crushed oyster shell and lime that would be a big plus.

Peat works without the addition of any lime. It is just more prone to contamination with Trichoderma. The addition of Lime brings the ph up to a point that favors the wanted fungi, while limiting the contaminant fungi.

EVERY BAGGED product of peatmoss available in my region of the world works without adding lime.

Peatmoss:Perlite, Peatmoss:vermiculite both work.

If you wan't your casings to be around for more then two flushes, the addition of Lime will HELP fight off the contaminants.
