I'm interested in learning more.
Any info would be appreciated.
I gleaned thro a few books in the book
store a while ago, but didn't really resonate with
any of the books. I figured someone here can
probably elaborate.

With the exception of Crowley, these are all beginner books

The Black Arts by Richard Cavendish has the best explaination i have seen. also a great bibliography.

if you havent seen the movie pi id recommend giving it a watch. not too much depth about jewsish mysticism, but it has a role in the plot.

I saw Pi a while ago, but I don't recall any ref to

ummm, a warning per studying kabbalah:
it is said that studying jewish mysticicsm is not for dabblers, and is not for unmarried, and is not for the young...
it is said that mental/psychic casualties can occur in those not adequately prepared & protected...
it has been related that "back in the day" 4 students of jewish occult lore penetrated to the third level of heaven via their efforts, and at the conclusion of their efforts, one had died, one had gone insane, one had strayed into theological error, and only one managed to stay the course... another fine myth and the other books in that series are excellent for children.  I benefited off them quite a bit.

as far as age and studying the occult goes, I would say the age of the soul is far more important than the age of the vessel :smile:
