When you say you are "done" OP I assume you mean you are done looking for someone who is your one-and-only true love, rather than giving up on being happy.

That is probably a good thing.  Totally rearranging your life's priorities in your head is always stressful, but the sooner you come to terms with your situation the better off you will be.  Sometimes it looks pretty bleak, especially when the emotional blanket gets jerked off unexpectedly, but you seem wise enough to know its all a matter of perspective.

I find learning a new song or doing some art always helps.  Be proactive not reactive.  That is a big thing with women too, and something that is frustrating to men.  Of course it is mostly a balancing act that needs to be tailored to each individual.  People who think they have men or women all figured out generalize or are total BS.:peace:

That's expected. Don't rush the healing process, you're going to feel bad for a little while but slowly that will begin to fade. You don't want to set unrealistic expectations for your emotional progress, just move forward at your own pace and don't worry if you have a few setbacks from time to time. You'll gradually become happier and hopefully some new and awesome opportunities will enter your life.

Moonrock's advice about being proactive is key to making sure you don't fall too far into a depression right now. If you have any hobbies start getting into them more. If not, find some new ones. Set some goals for yourself as far as hobbies and self improvement goes, not only will you have things to look forward to but you'll also be able to feel good about yourself as you reach each new goal. Exercise can be a really great one to channel any negative emotions into, and if you get into it enough you'll be able to change your mood drastically with endorphins.

Yeah I went and visited friends today, also I am moving into a new place in august so hopefully that will help the transition. But now that I am just sitting here alone its downward spiral time . . .

When you start getting trapped in your head, go for a run man. With each negative thought/feeling just push yourself to go farther. Work those feelings out physically. It won't make it go away, but it'll lessen the impact it's having on you for a time.

Yes, fucking absolutely. I wanted to say something along similar lines earlier but for some reason or another didn't. But for real, DS is right.

Whenever I'm feeling down, I get outside and run my ass off. It's almost as if I'm motivated even more to run & work out when I'm depressed. And dude, let me tell you, it works. IDK what it is but my optimism climbs and climbs when I'm out running.
