I have not download music in a long time. Probably since Demonoid went down.  I heard that some ISP's
send out warnings with each one gaining severity. Where do you download from and what's the word on this shit now days??

The warnings come in when you download fresh high profile content.

Anything made before 2011 is pretty much safe.

I stopped dl'ing music because I'd didn't want to catch a warning or worse and I've been buying all my new music for about a year or so and I have to say I enjoy it more having paid for it plus I don't have gigs of unlistened music piling up.
Haven't ruined anymore hard drives and lost all my music in a while and it gives me a reason to go music and electronic stores again.
Stealing entire genres of music was pretty rad though.

I'v never had a problem but I download all my music from youtube. I'm not sure anyone is monitoring that.

I would have loved a fucking warning. A warning would have been awesome.

You know what I got? A letter stating that the 50megs I get are now going to be 30megs for the same price. And trying to cancel and re-attach won't work. I'd have to pay for the 50 If I want 30. I cannot go higher than 30 with this company.

Fuck pirating. Pay for yer shit, or pay for a lot of internet you don't get.

Rent the goddamn movies on Amazon for 2.99, or redbox, or netflix.

I got a couple for downloading Curb Your Enthusiasm.. But that was back when I was using Demonoid. Since I got invited to IPT, I have had 0 problems related to torrents (no virus or fake files, no ISP warnings).

What pissed me off the most was losing all the time it took to add my entire cd collection to my computer and then losing it when my hard drive crapped out. After I added all my cds again I said fuck it and started paying for cds and adding them manually.

I think the only time I ever got something from an ISP was when I was like 15 and I downloaded a movie or something like that.

I download a pretty decent amount of shit (mostly music, some TV and movies though), including leaks, and haven't been notified. I stick to private trackers, I haven't downloaded anything from a public tracker in over 7 years I think.

Just downloading tons of music until my old pc got the blue error screen and never working again. Now I have a few flash drives as back up.

Edit:
I'm not very computer savvy all I know is when I downloaded music my computer would eventually get corrupted and stop working now that I don't my computer always seems to work.

HDs aren't that prone to losing your data, you could have just mined it out, and put it all on another separate HD. :tongue:
