Search website for xdcc packets, click on packet numbers and control V paste commands into Mirc channel window. Enjoy!

the IRC packets are complete cds usually zipped or winrared

Not stupid albumwraps either, and they usually contain the album art too.

Go get a cracked ver. of albumwrap. It decompresses without need of a wav or mp3 splitter. Or use Soulseek or emule or dc++ to get albums.

OK sure.

Begin by making sure you have the Mirc client installed: www.mirc.com

The following settings must be applied to the Mirc client:

view/options/DCC: auto get file, and if file exists, resume.

AND view/options/DCC/ignore: disabled, and uncheck the "turn ignore back on" box.

This will allow Mirc to accept your files.

Then goto www.packetnews.com, and look for the search window.

Select xdcc.

Type in a favorite band, movie, software title etc. etc. into the search box and hit enter.

A list of available downloads will appear.

Select something from the list and click on the packet number.

You will now be forwarded into the Mirc client.

Select "open a new connection" in the dialog box.

A Mirc network window and a Mirc channel window will appear.

Click in the channel where you type text, and hit "control v"

This pastes in the command which instructs the bot to send your file(s).

Hit enter and if the appropriate bot is still online and responding, a download will commence, or you'll be placed in a queue slot if any are available.

Downloads are saved in C:program files/mirc/download.

Downloads must be unzipped. Sometimes winzip, sometimes with winrar. Get both unzipping utilities to process your files.

Try this www.Furthurnet.org you can download full concerts by great artists like Phish and the Grateful Dead.

Can't seem to be able to download at mirc. The file I need to download is under downloads on that website right?
