Surely a coffee grinder is the way to go but most people dont have one. I use home made flower every time I grow and I use a blender. What I do is but some in a blender, grind it, then but the grinded up flower in a bowl. When i'm done grinding it all, I put it in a blender for a second time just to make sure it's not to chunky. Best way to do it in my eyes if you dont have a coffee grinder. For a little more info, look for a thread in mushroom cultivation called "Brown Rice Experiment" posted by me.

My blender really does a good job of blending it to a fine dust. i don't need anything else to make it work.

In my opinion ...
You get beter results with a blender. It is not as fine and creates nice air pockets that help colinization.

hey cheese,
if the thougt of getting caught is causing you much stress now, you may want to consider the fact that the stress will increase as you near harvest.

might i suggest just growing a few legal edibles until you're confident that you won't be caught by surprise?

or perhaps starting off with a very small batch to help minimize stress ?

I am putting 1 pint cake in a cheap-ass soda bottle with wet rag on the bottom and a 1/2 pint cake in another. They are P.C equadors. I am putting it in a friends shack, and light goes through because it has no roof.
that way im only loosing like 3 cc of spores.
