Figured I'd just crush the rice by hand. Ice cream scoop and bowl didn't work, 15lb weight didn't work, food processor didn't work.
What can I do?? Is a coffee grinder a must have?

I don't have one of those either... :'(
I spent all my money on vermiculite, popcorn, finch seed, brown rice and canning jars. All my money was like 12 dollars =( !

maybe you should try putting your rice inside a sock and bashing it into dust with a hammer.
I don't know if this will work

Next time you buy it , grind it up in the coffee grinder at the store you bought before you leave.

Brown rice only flowers once a year, be sure not to remove too many flowers or it won't produce any brown rice. Hope I have been of some help.

your best bet is to get a coffee grinder, you can get them for cheap and even when you're done grinding your brown rice you can use it again to grind your shrooms so you can put in tea and more!

Stores like walgreens, eckard, osco, rite-aid, etc all have small coffee grinders for $10 or less. Im sure this is true with wal-mart, target, etc as well. Any alternative would be difficult and time consuming, as you have discovered. GL

Dude, why not just go to your local health-food store and buy a $5.00 bag of brown rice flour.
Or as others have stated, go to wal mart and buy a $10.00 grinder.
