I have been on this extended Evenescence and Linkin Park trip lately.  It is like all I listen too.  Though yesterday afternoon and today I have been listening to the Gregorian Benedictine Monks chant and church music.  Kind of an honor to the outgoing Pope.  It's really deep too.  I don't understand a word they are saying, but it is beautiful to hear them sing.

I just started a job as a pizza delivery boy. For some reason delievering pizza while listening to Metallica seems so appropriate, especially sine I'm using CDs (car doesn't have AUX jack) if only they were tapes... Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightening and Death Magnetic are my favorites!

If you're a dude, then you probably have a chance. Well, minus the babies part.

Metallica's kind of sucked since they cut off their hair.

And Justice For All is one of the best rock / metal albums ever written. The black album was nothing to sneeze at either. Much more commercially-oriented, but very polished, nicely produced, and most importantly, decent songwriting. Hettfield's lyrics have always been a little on the corny side, but he really got out the cliche playbook for that one, IMHO. Regardless, the black album is what I consider to be the last "true" metallica album.

They've had a few good songs here and there since then....but I've had a hard time taking them seriously since their first post-haircut release... where you could just tell they were trying their very hardest to stay "current" and "relevant" (aka trendy) and IMO failing miserably at anything other than a bunch of old guys trying to play "cool."

And the music has never been the same. Not in a good way.

But their guitar hero game is pretty fun.... despite having way too many new tracks, and not enough classic metallica.

Lars is dumb on so many fucking levels it pisses me off. Also, Metallica is the epitome of corporate slavery. Dumb motherfuckers agree with everything their label does without a thought, goddamn turncoats; what happened to the guys that jammed shit like "For Whom The Bell Tolls," and "Ride The Lightening?"
