I dunno, Anthrax was corny and had probably
the worst of the worst later music. But I'll take the
punk-tinged sound of Spreading the Disease and
Among the Living over Master of Puppets any day.

I dig the whole humor/glam vocals/punkthrash
Plus I like their rhythm section.

Good call on getting old ruining most bands.
It's funny when someone complains about a band needing to reunite,
when typically they're saving themselves a lot of integrity. Go solo I say,
change with your age.

Basically causing their Bassist to leave opened up a gap in the band which i feel lead them to be vulnerable to their managers and producer's desired direction.

They were getting shittier since the late 90's anyways - but they really went off the deep end when Jason left.

Their original bass player died, but was quickly replaced by Jason Newstead when the band was still in their relative infancy.

Lars and the Singer are total losers who think metallica is the be all and end all of everything in life, total rich control freak babies - fame went straight to their head.

Kirk Hammet on the other hand - is a wicked guitarist and seems fairly down to earth these days...

Jason Newstead totally kept it real, and was all about playing music out of love and not being a rock star. His needs as a musician ultimately broke up Metallica, because the control freak singer couldn't accept that Jason wanted to start a side project and take time off of Metallica.

When Jason was "forced out of the band" Metallica totally fell apart and took a new direction, which is totally ball-less.

Sorry, I can relate, my dad is dyslexic. It's just that I used to post on the megadeth forums and I saw that shit all the time from noobs.

I guess I'm just glad that I can see past all the elitist shit and enjoy good songs when they are well written. You don't need to stick to listening to 10 bands you know.
