G2G without flowhood

Has anyone been successful doing G2G without a flow hood, but using a still air box? Ideally I would have one but there PC came first.

Tons of people GTG in a SAB with 95%+ success rate. do it to it.

i have done them in open air before w/o problems (not reccomended).  but a SAB is the way to go w/o a flowhood.

alight its go time. Once a jar fully colonizes is there a period of time I should wait before I do the G2G?

No, G2G them as soon as they hit 100% colonization, you want vigorous, fast growing mycellium that has not consolidated.

Me too, in fact I always do open air g2g transfers with no problem.  I only use a gb for agar.  A lot of old hands here do open air g2gs, you just need a clean room and still air.

G2G in a SAB is perfect ive had 100% success (knock on wood). just be sure you've shaken the jars at least once to give contams a chance to reveal themselves
