now what happens when silver drops back to $9/oz.

Buy more, a lot more.

that is of course the time to buy, if you're buying at $30/oz then you're
taking a beating because it could be another 20 years before that price
spikes again

it's the hoarding that's driving the precious metals prices

No I would say it's the devaluation of the dollar.  Every time they print more money and devalue the dollar the prices of all commodities go up.  I advocate silver because it is the most undervalued commodity as it's used in almost all technology and shortages are occurring.

devaluing the dollar plays a role, it's what drives the hoarding but it
initially starts with the economy starting to falter, look at the price
charts, it wasnt until 2009 that the quantitative easing started that
devalued the dollar as it did, the prices started to make gains in
2003 and continued until 2007 when it started making large gains, QE1 and
QE2 drive the prices even higher with it's high peak at $45 with QE2 in 2011
when it was in full swing, since then people have believed the media machine
about the economy getting better and they've been slowing on the purchases
of metals and even putting some back into the market which has dropped the
price nearly $20/oz

both gold and silver have been trending the same way, when the economy does
get better, a lot of people will take a beating because they payed $30+/oz

Who's saying the economy will get better?  The fed has made plans to print another trillion dollars next year that can't be good for the dollar.  Also even with all the money printing markets are still falling.  I don't predict a recovery any time soon.  Infact I predict hyper inflation.

paying more than $20 over spot

you dont find it strange that people are snatching them up at $70/coin while the $39 coins arent getting any bids?

The old coins (in debt and death they trust) are going for $70 because they are sold out.  The new trivium coins are not selling on ebay yet because you can still get them on his website for $33.  You would have to be a dumb fuck to pay over $33 on ebay when they are still available on his site.  Also I agree the $20 spot difference is ridiculous but I am not holding them for investment just selling them on ebay for a quick profit then I can pick up some more silver at closer to spot.

why are the coins selling on ebay for $70+ and the ones selling for $40
arent selling? shill bidding, would you pay close to double the price of
something when all you needed to do was look at the other auctions, it has
nothing to do with some coin from some random franklin mint kind of place
being sold out, it has to do with someone trying to drive the price and
increase his feedback. I've seen day traders do this shit with penny stocks
and over the course of a year make a hell of a killing, I'm sure that when
you get those coins up on ebay you'll find you have trouble selling them
like the other legit sellers did since most people buying arent looking to
pay $10+ over spot and they're checking prices

BTW... you already said you spent $50 per coin for a coin with a silver
value of $30, you spent well over the going rate for silver

that's false, it's 40 billion per year for the next 16 years, that;s a little over half a trillion and no, it's not good for the dollar but printing money isnt the only aspect of an economy

printing money doesnt fix the stock market, it artificially props it up for
a short period to give an illusion of it looking up

No it's true they are printing $85 billion a month proof.

Come on now that's just paranoia.  The price of the coins go for double when they sell out.  It's always the same on ebay, people are willing to pay a high premium for anything rare or collectible.  For example when Twinkies stopped being made people were willing to pay $500 for one box.

It's a proof coin.  Proof coins always come with a high premium.

well looks like we're fucked, feel free to spend $300 on an oz of silver,
you'll probably still make money on selling it

anyone notice that the unemployment figures for october and november havent
been released... I wonder why that is.

it's a weight of silver being produced by some obscure 'mint' being sold as a
collectors coin 'proof' of which all of them they sell are proof coins which
means there's nothing special about them, now if it were a 1932 silver dollar
proof then a premium price could be expected because there are coins in
circulation as well as a few proofs and uncirculated pieces but if you look at
how the coin markets work, once more are released the value drops. a stash of
old quarters turned a $150 VF coin into a $10 coin over night and with these
'mints' popping up everywhere there's no end in sight to the 'collector coin'
market

my advice, buy silver and have your own minted for around $1 each

70 pounds Cu is worth about $250. Metals are such a shitty investment to hold physically. They are hard and costly to move around and they carry the risk of being not the purity or weight advertised.

You are absolutely right that commodities don't end up being worthless in crashes, but a bubble is a bubble and there is so clearly and obviously a commodities bubble right now you literally have to be an idiot not to see it. So maybe silver will go back to 10 or 15, still pretty good if you bought sme three years ago but, shit if you get in now.

Once again offering opinions with no fundamentals behind it.

Do you know how much silver is mined per year?  And the production costs per oz?  And what type of mine despots bring up silver? What type of grades are left for mining?

Do you know how much silver is used for silver per year in industry relative to investment?  Who are the buyers of physical silver?

How much inventory is available today?

Study the market and get back to us, other wise you have nothing to offer us other than your opinion. I have already heard many of the bear cases in-regards to the silver market, at least they try to make a logical claim.

Enjoy it while it lasts, I am sure you are aware that premiums on all silver investment products (coins and bars, if you can find them) are at all-time highs.

The reason for the gold and silver smash down was the most orchestrated central bank intervention into the paper markets of all-time, it's time for the physical buyers to make them pay, as global demand soars, the plan is already backfiring.

Will they drive the paper price even lower?  I wouldn't put it past them, but they will pay dearly for their manipulation.

Well, then you are correct. Silver is the ultimate hedge against currency and market valuation. It is even immune to the price of silver.
