Thought I would mention in this thread that the Fed has announced QE4.  It is expanding it's quantitative easing program and will plunge the country into an extra $85 billion of debt every month.  For those who are counting at home that is an extra $1 trillion of debt for the course of next year.  I think hyper inflation is a likely scenario for next year.  Odd the precious metals market is doing the opposite of what would be expected and is taking a dip.  I think it may be wise to pick some silver up when the market reaches $30-31.

The Fed is adding $85 billion of bonds/debt to its balance sheet per month, the debt is going higher regardless who buys the debt, the Fed or others.

The Fed creates dollars out of thin air to buy the bonds, which filter back into the real economy, thus far it has not produced the huge inflation one might expect, but this game of fiat money is all about confidence, when confidence is lost is any ones guess, but we are pushing monetary policy to its limits.

Ive been eyeing the 1/10 ounce gold pieces at my local coin store so far I have resisted the urge to purchase some but they so shiny!

Silver looks quite :grizzlybear: at the moment.  It may not be a far fetched idea to think that it could break through the $26 resistance and go all the way down to $20 :uhoh:.  If that happened though I would think that dealers would sell out fairly quick and there would be no physical silver left for investment.  This would cause the physical price of silver to surge.

On a brighter note the Perth Mint is bringing out new coins on January 2nd 12:01PM eastern time.  I would recommend buying the Mythical Creatures – Griffin 2013 1oz Silver Proof Coin as it will sell out within one hour of being released.  Once it sells out it will sell on ebay for up to double what you paid for it.  I am going to purchase some to sell straight away on ebay and hopefully make a profit.

Nice man I take half my paycheck and buy silver every week! Building my stack up nothing gives me piece of mind knowing that inflation won't rob me of my labor.

In a true SHTF yes however I don't think that will happen maybe a great depression or financial system collapse but not blood in the streets end of civilization stuff. Gold and silver have been money for the past 6000 years it would be prudent to certainly have some of your assets in precious metals. Also silver and gold retain there value during inflation so why should I leave my fiat currency BACKED BY NOTHING in a bank while INFLATION ROBS MY LABOR?

True natural resources would hold a lot of value but gold and silver have a long history of being used as money and will always be a store of value.  If china stopped accepting US dollars for trade and only accepted gold or silver I'm pretty sure the value of these metals would sky rocket.

No I would say it's the devaluation of the dollar.  Every time they print more money and devalue the dollar the prices of all commodities go up.  I advocate silver because it is the most undervalued commodity as it's used in almost all technology and shortages are occurring.

The old coins (in debt and death they trust) are going for $70 because they are sold out.  The new trivium coins are not selling on ebay yet because you can still get them on his website for $33.  You would have to be a dumb fuck to pay over $33 on ebay when they are still available on his site.  Also I agree the $20 spot difference is ridiculous but I am not holding them for investment just selling them on ebay for a quick profit then I can pick up some more silver at closer to spot.
