Pacific Northwest picking! (need some help w/ Indentification)

Hello! I live in the Pacific Northwest and the other day I noticed an abundance of mushrooms growing in my yard of all shapes and sizes. I own a decent size yard (around 3 acres) and decided to take a journey to find some magic mushrooms. I have been very interested in trying them for quite awhile now, searching the internet and getting myself familiar with how to find the right ones and talking to friends that have done shrooms before. I like to be as educated and prepare for a new psychedelic as I possibly can be before trying. I have done many things including LSD, weed, and salvia over the past 20-30+ years. And now I want to try mushrooms

I collected around 15-25 different/similar types of mushrooms on my land this morning and took some pictures to hopefully get some more knowledge and identification of what types they are. I have studied how to identify magic mushrooms for awhile but then again, I want to make sure and be as safe as possible. So if anyone could help me with this, it would be most appreciated! Thanks!

thanks! its was about time that i signed up, ive been lurking for along time but finally signed up!


do any of these look active? i was thinking that possibly #1, 4, 5, 12, 14, 16 might be active but Im not certain. I always read that if a mushroom grows out of wood or dung had high odds. I found #12 growing out of an old rotting log and its bright orange and the top looks gooey.

None of them look active. Better luck next time :frown:

Try looking for mushrooms that bruise blue and have a purpleish spore print. Those are good signs that suggests it may be an active.  Also if you want to find actives i recommend you research what actives grow in your area and research them well. Good luck. :grin:

Can you post a gill shot of number 16? Where were those found.

They were found in my front yard in a patch of moss and pine needles and leaves. (this is not the best pic because of my camera flash) I have also noticed that these mushrooms were and orange/yellow color, but now that they have dried they are nearly white/yellowish

12 looks like galerina marginata, do not eat under any circumstance.

Im very surprised that I found so many types of mushrooms in my yard, but I think I'm more surprised that none seem to be active. Guess I might have to take a trip over to Gig Harbor or Olympia, my friends seems to have good luck in those areas.

Those are a galerina species, Probably very toxic. You should spore print them anyway, it's good practice.

number 8 looks like it has some green/blue bruising, possibly an active gym?
