Looking good.

Are you using a flash? I bet you would get better quality if you had some better lighting!

I tried messing around with the "Flash Compensation" on my camera because I didn't want a lot of glare. I had it set TOO low though, I need more practice.

Very very nice pictures.

A tip from one digital photographer to another... If the picture isn't "perfect" you can almost always get it damn near perfect in Photoshop.
Say for example you have a picture that's under exposed/too dark. Open that bia in photoshop and play around with the brightness/contrast.

Ah... gotta love computers
In the lab you'd have to play around with enlarger filters and exposure times. Takes forever and can be frustrating. On the computer, just click a few times and it's done

Hey PSI,  here is my strategy for staying under the dreaded 400K shroomery limit.  I start by resizing all my photos to 1024 X 768.  It's a pretty typical resolution used by many these days.  That usually gets my photos down to 200k or less.

Then I pick 3 or 4 of my best photos and go to work on them.  I crop them like crazy trying to get below the 400k limit.

If that fails,  I swallow my pride and resize them yet again usually down to 800x600.  I really don't like to do this because it compromises the overall size a bit too much, but as a last resort, it has saved me before.

There was a rumor floating around the shroomery that they were going to start a "pay" system for those of us that want to abuse our upload privileges, but so far everytime I ask an admin about it, they just say something like ,"it's in the works".  Hopefully they'll start it soon.

when you say pay system for abusers....just a fee if you'd like to go over the 400?
