blending straw
    #1729051 - 07/19/03 12:41 AM (14 years, 9 months ago)

straw teks always call for wheat straw cut to lengths less than 3 inches.  has anyone tried blending the straw in a blender?  it seems that this would reduce the size of the straw to very small lengths.  Any hints or comments would be apprexciated. :smirk:

Seems more time consuming than using a chain-saw to cut peices right off the bale.

the problem with straw is, most of the endospores reside in the leaf nodes (knuckles) and seeds of the plants .
cleaning straw is a pain in the ass .
grinding it in a blinder would be even more tedious .
you could do it, but why bother ?
