I still vote for there to be no icon when it's not present, then again I'm never satisfied. Though I dig it the way it is, either way it fine.

Hey, FOM, more nitpicking.

Could we try these versions of the lights?  My OCD really flares up when I see the login-status light near the chat-status light.  The difference in color makes me a bit twitchy.  :twitchy:

I tried to match the color as best as I could, and added a small outline so it matches the style of the login-status lights.



Disregard if you've had enough whining over this feature.

While I can empathize with your enthusiasm for the chat feature, in the interest of maintaining a relatively clean and simple interface, the chat icon should probably be invisible until a member is actively in chat.  This would be consistent with the way the journal and gallery icons work (i.e. no uploads, no journal entries?  no icons).  Historically (and presumably forever), the chat population will be a small minority of the community, so it doesn't really make sense to have it visible for every member that isn't in chat, since that's like 99% of the member base.

Navigating the shroomery is something that you have to learn.
If its important, people will talk about it. If we had more chat rooms, more people would get into it. One for the hunters, even one for the gamers.

We can't have a little idiot icon for everything, finding the chat link is easier than figuring out how to edit your signature for a noob.

I mean where does the hand holding stop
