I decided not to have my sons circumcised as a personal choice, but I would never try to push my convictions and morality on someone else. Those of you that would should feel ashamed of yourself. You're no better then christians trying to control a womans uterus. How about people just mind their own fucking business for a change?

Leave peoples religious traditions alone. It's not as though they're trying to forcefully circumcise your children. so what business is it of yours?

Female circumcision is part of certain peoples religious culture. Yet it is illegal in America to circumcise young girls. Should it be made legal to accomodate religious freedom?

The truth is is that banning the circumcision of baby boys does not harm religious freedom just as the ban on circumcision of babay girls doesn't harm religious freedom. People can figure out a way to practice their religion without doing it.

Do you know why the freakshows chop off girls' clits?  So that they will feel no pleasure.  I can assure you that that is not a result of male circumcision.

There are all kinds of examples of parenting choices that would be considered undesirable to any given individual.

If I, by way example, didn't like earings on babies (I truly couldn't care less) then that would be my prerogative. I just don't have the right to tell other people not to peirce their babies.

Simplicity should people be allowed to remove the prepuce of their infant daughters just as they are allowed to remove the prepuce of their sons? Currently it is illegal to remove a infant female prepuce but legal to remove a infant male prepuce in America and I imagine for some other Western nations too.

The vast majority of men in Europe are not circumcised. In Japan people don't even know what circumcision is.

EDIT: i've picked you up on two things you have stated that are not completely correct (one in another thread). being a nurse seems to have made your opinions on medical things the only one that could be possibly correct because you have a little bit of medical training.

good point, i recently had an infection and was cut when i was 4 months. being circumcised hasn't kept me free from infection.

I find female circumcision much more despicable then male circumcision. That being said I feel my opinion is null and void in regard to other peoples children, culture, religion, traditions etc...etc... I don't believe people should be allowed  to remove a penis or clitoris( even infant should have some civil rights), but what people traditionally, and especially religiously do  with their offspring prepuce is none of my fucking business. Just like it's none of my business if someone wants to abort their offspring

By the way I'm circumcised and it's not the horrible torture that you are making it out to be. I decided not to circumcise my sons, but that's only because I researched it and I found it to be pointless
