Yes. And that's why I distinguished the difference between hateful speech (what I do) and hate speech (what the thread creator did).

Hate speech is used to describe speech that is directed towards a particular social group, such as the handicapped, minorities, religious organizations, any sex, or sexuality, etc.

What I do, is get a short fuse whenever somebody says something incredulous and abhorrent. What I do would be considered hateful speech, not hate speech.

Though, I would argue, that the people that I hate on, believe people who are sick and can't afford medical care should die. They also say hateful things about women who are sexually active. So, I would argue, to call their words hate speech is far more accurate than my response to their individual hate.

think he's just saying in general it gets annoying, and altho the title is sterotypical, he is for the most part talking about women he's been around, and then poses a question to us, if we see the same things.  men and women are different, so seems a legit question.  men and women have different bodys and hormones ect, its logical we will be better at different things, and it might be a far fetched/ or far reaching question but seems harmless to speculate if one would be better than the other.  It only becomes harmful when people over react and start using hateful speech.  Plus topics on the shroomery have gotten stale over the years, were all adults we should be able to handle discussions

Okay, let me put it in another way that makes you see how it is hate speech.

"Why is it that every black guy I've met is inferior, they all commit crimes and shoplift"
"Howcome every jew I've ever met is a conniving, thieving degenerate"

What the op said is hate speech. If he wanted to say men and women are different because of hormone levels or whatever, then that's fine (and even then that statement is still questionable because its not 100 percent, as people vary in hormone levels, and I am one of these people). But he didn't say that. He presumed to claim one sex has superioty over another, while the other is "lesser" or considered subhuman to the other sex. If you said this about a racial or religious group that person would be called out on it and u know it

I have to disagree, there's hundreds of threads in the pub on religion that
are no more than a thread to bash christians while somehow claiming their
beliefs regardless of what they are to be superior and each has it's own hate
filled rhetoric for what ever group

I am not saying men are better than women, but lets recognize the following.

1. Men dominate politics and high level government positions around the world, and have for most of civilization.

2. Men control most of the worlds wealth, they dominate and control the global financial markets.

3. Men dominate science,technology,and medicine, most accomplishments in this area have been from men.

4. Music and art also seems to be male dominated.

5. Wars and weapons used in wars are all male designed.

6. Men are physically stronger and faster, and excel in athletics.

Again, I am not saying men are better than women, they are not, many women are doing great things in many different areas, more than ever before.
