NDEs and meeting dead relatives
    #15430852 -

Basically I was drowning and surrounded by blackness and fear. Suddenly a white light appeared and I was pulled into at at amazing speed and seemingly traveled the length of the universe. I came to rest in a beautiful meadow with supernatural and brilliant colors. Everything shone with an inner light. In the distance I saw a figure walking towards me. With a slight shock of recognition, I saw it was my long-dead grandma who died at age 94. We hugged and giggled like little kids. I felt amazing compassion and love.

"Is this heaven, grandma?" I asked. "Oh dear no, this is the Place of Adjustment. Heaven is far better, but would be too much for you to handle right away," she replied. "Grandma, you look happy, but really, really fucking old," I observed. "Yes, Timmy, it's true. We keep the bodies we had at the time of death for all eternity. Remember Uncle Walt, who fell off that girder when building that new hotel? We call him pancake. He is having a tough time here. If I was to do over again, I would have taken sleeping pills at age 32, then I could really party here, but who knew? You have it made going out the way you did. You should be very grateful!"

If you die over age 40, unless you were really somebody, they will not let you into Heaven's equivalent to Studio 54. :nono:

I am bumping this as my satire is apparently too deep for most so I will spell it out.

People who have NDEs meet dead realtives as they remember them. If I met my dead grandma when she was age 20, I would not recognize her. This all points to memories being triggered and not a 'real' encounter.
