Go into a little detail if you can? How fine did you shred your straw? How much did you use...etc etc...

I'm happy that your results are coming out so well! Nothing better than a good flush:-)

I think that he's talking about putting a drinking staw into the center of the cake, not straw that is used for substrate.

Yeah, it's the drinking straw tek...you just put a drinking straw down into the cake, put distilled water in it, and watch it grow. It's really helped this cake out! It's producing about 3 times the pins the other cakes are producing. I'm going to insert straws into all my cakes after the first flush and see how fat they get.

It's really just a form of ghetto-casing. Supplying more water, but yeah it works. Casing works better though. Congratulations.
