Nope, not at all. I only know this guy over the internet, never met him in real life but he seems like a cool character.

I seen the comments people had left on his rating page before he got banned. He also mentioned something about someone from this board hacking his emails, but needless to say I ended having to get his password back for him, so he could get back on them.

That was a very low blow if you ask me. When people sign up here, they are trusting the moderators not to reveal any of their information like that. He said he used an email, and the same password he uses to get into the email. He said the only people that could have knew that information were the people who controlled the site. He said someone tried to use one of his emails for theft, and fraud. That email got blocked by the windows live team.

Is that what happened?

yeah but you can't blame the mods for that as well, i mean its sad but people use keyloggers and things to find passwords/accounts. and if someone was to somehow acquire their password, it would be only logical to try it on other accounts of theres and see if it worked.

well something definately sounds shifty about the circumstance, but its not fair to all of a sudden jump to blaming the mods for that. it could have been any number of keyboard warriors the guy may have rubbed the wrong way. it could have even just been luck with one of those european fraud gangs finding his details somehow to use fraudulently.

Its a coincidence.  Mods do not have access to users passwords, only admins do.  And I am sure none of them are doing stuff like that.

No one gets banned for being a christian.  That is ridiculous.

Its a coincidence.  Mods do not have access to users passwords, only admins do.  And I am sure none of them are doing stuff like that.

the admins dont have access, the passwords are encrypted, the admins can
reset the password but they still dont know what it is because it's a
random string sent to the email of the user

and if the users email was hacked then it has nothing to do with the shroomery

Admins can still get the passwords even if they are stored in encrypted form because they have root access to the machines.  They can be captured with tcpdump or an apache modification.
