Top quality ones on psychology or sociological aspects of our existence. The weirder and wilder the better but good acting and dialog.

Waking Life!

I spend hours searching for these types of movies and now I can't remember any of them..

This is a good thread though, and waking life is a great movie. So are all the ones you listed Icelander.

12 angry men is a great one. I think I watched the 1957 version. I can't think of anything else right now, but will add more if I do.

what about 'the devil and daniel johnston'
that guy is barely known and has influenced many popular musicians, not to mention he has a wild story.

um, after that i'd recommend 'the edge' because bears and people in survival situations.

and then lastly i'd recommend 'fisher king' because its one of my mom's all time fav movies and i remember strange imagery in it when i watched it as a kiddo.
