NOT requiem for a dream, and DEFINITLY not the book, the book was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more depressing, I wanted to friggin kill myself after reading the book.... and then I read Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy :-D it's great!!!!!!!!

Im not sure about movies to cure deppression,

The kind of movies i like are the one centered around and imaginative or conscieousness theme, such as

matrix

dream catcher (is grrrrreat!, theres just something about this movie, i LOVE!, can't wait for it to come out on VHS)

hulk

LEG (which ill be seeing soon)

x-men

powder

phenomena

The one

(truely there are so many out there i can't remember them all)

Rebirthing a new thread that I found while searching something else...

The newest from Cage : Adaptation. Couldn't think of a more appropriate movie with an anxious depressed main caracther who found a way to win over himself.

Nice story too... One of the very few hollywood movie I really enjoyed. (Adaptation and American Beauty are the only ones I can think of)...

And no, Requiem for a Dream won't inspire any depressed people, even if it's probably one of my 3 favorite movie ever!
