I've only been researching it a short while, but from what I've read of te Hebrew version, it's a completely different story than the general perspective most "Christians" hold.

I recognize 2 groups of thought: spiritual type and scientific type

Spiritual type looks at the gestation period of a penguin. This period happens to be long enough so that the birds wait to hatch until the arctic sun returns. This synchronizes up perfectly, as another creature with a shorter gestation period wouldn't survive. Spiritual type looks at this phenomenon and think "god made this gestation period perfectly timed up with the sun, there's gods intelligence thrown into nature"

Scientific type looks at the same phenomenon and says "there were many different types of birds, each with varying gestation periods, trying to survive in the arctic. Obviously, all species with unsatisfactory gestation periods failed to survive. The penguin survived due to it's ideal gestation time."

I'm inclined to lean towards the spiritual type when I study nature/universe. It's just a feeling I get that comes along with the complexity/organization of it all.

I think it's easy to take nature/existence for granted because it's all we know. It's easy to just believe that there's nothing mystical behind it because it's all you've ever experienced. A good internal recognition of "nothingness" always reminds me how mystical "somethingness" really is. If it's of any relevance, I was a confident atheist for well over 10 years.

that's the NKJV. I get out of that just what it says, put God first and don't put anything above Him, just as He deserves.

I have been wanting to learn Hebrew for a while now though, maybe I can add that to my list of goals

It's amazing how many people insist on devoting every drop of their soul to worshipping a deity that resembles a 12 yr old Starcraft player.

That's axmiserable existence to create for yourself IMO but to them its "the way to a wholesome life".
